- Once your child has mastered drinking from a cup, gradually decrease the amount of liquids in the bottle.
- Give bottles less frequently throughout the day, or if you choose, eliminate them totally.
- Remove all bottles from the house.
- Substitute the bottle with a toy.
- Bring your child to a toy store, allowing a choice in toys. Then bring the toy and your child’s bottle to the cashier. Have him pay for the toy with the bottle.
